The Stow Country Boot has the shape and substance that have made it a Tricker’s classic: heavy wingtip detailing, traditional pinked edges and bold brogue punching on our definitive 4497s country boot last. The fit is generous but secure, with room through the toe box, support across the waist and a stable feel around the ankle for long days on foot.
Black Hydro Nubuck gives the Stow a more pared-back, practical finish. The calf leather is gently buffed for a soft, tactile surface, then treated during tanning so water beads away rather than soaking in. This makes it more resilient in wet weather and more resistant to everyday marks and stains than standard untreated suede. The matte nubuck absorbs light to create a dense, rich black tone, with matching black eyelets, black laces, a fabric pull tab and dark stained welt preserving the boot’s sharp, monochromatic appearance.
Handmade in our Northampton factory in England by skilled craftspeople, the Stow is built using traditional methods and finished to the standards that first established the Tricker’s reputation. Goodyear welted construction gives the boot long-term durability and allows it to be resoled in the future, while the British-made Dainite rubber sole provides reliable grip on wet pavements without adding unnecessary bulk.
