The Daniel Tramping Shoe is a plain-toe country shoe with a clean, unadorned profile. Made on our 4497s last, traditionally used for our country boots, it offers a generous but secure fit, with space through the toe box, support across the waist and the stability of a heavier boot in a more versatile shoe shape. Without brogue detailing, the Daniel has a quieter, more functional character.
Black Hydro Nubuck gives the Daniel a practical, weather-ready finish with a sharp, monochromatic look. The calf leather is buffed to create a soft, tactile surface, then treated during tanning so moisture beads away rather than soaking in, helping to improve resistance to wet weather, everyday marks and stains. The fine nubuck nap absorbs light to create a dense, uniform black tone, with matching black eyelets, black laces and a dark stained welt keeping the profile clean and understated.
Made in our Northampton factory by skilled craftspeople using traditional methods, the Daniel is built for long-term wear. Goodyear welted construction gives the shoe durability and allows it to be resoled in the future, while the British-made Dainite rubber sole provides reliable grip on wet pavements without the bulk of a heavier tread.
