    • Product description

The Bourton Country Shoe is a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, recognised for its heavy wingtip design, traditional pinked edges and bold brogue punching. Made on our 4444 last in a 5 width fitting, it has the generous proportions of a classic Tricker’s country shoe, with a wide tread and roomy toe box. Most customers find they can drop down half a size from their standard UK shoe size for the best fit.

Brown Hydro Nubuck gives this Bourton a practical, weather-ready finish with a softer, more understated look than smooth calf leather. The nubuck is gently buffed for a tactile matte surface, then treated during tanning so water beads away rather than soaking in. This helps make the leather more resilient in wet weather and more resistant to everyday marks and stains, while the deep espresso-brown tone works well with denim, corduroy, wool and heavier cotton trousers. Brass eyelets, matching laces and a dark brown storm welt sit naturally with the rich, earthy colour of the nubuck.

Each pair of Bourton brogues is handmade in our Northampton factory in England by skilled craftspeople using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. Built with Goodyear storm welted construction for durability, added water resistance and the option to be resoled in years to come, it is finished on a British-made Dainite rubber sole for reliable grip on wet pavements and country paths, without the bulk of a heavier tread.
